My phone doesn’t pick up any mobile data. I can’t use the internet or text when I am not connected to wifi. If you use up data for the period, doesn’t it just roll on and you are charged for excess?

just to double check - have you tried to restart your phone to see if it helps? Also, please check so Mobile Data is activated in the settings. Does this problem occur on different physical places?
If you use up your included data allowance for a month you will need to actively purchase more data. If you do not do that, you will not be able to use mobile data until next month. If you reach the data limit you should get a text message that informs you of that where you’ll also get information om how to buy more data.
